History/Background

Marvin is one of Joey’s two best friends and one of the four original founders of the gang. Other than being the strongest of the group physically, he is also the oldest member and acts as their team driver. Though this is so, he isn’t really the most mature of the group, being a big kid at heart, hanging out with Benny more so than anybody else in the group. He also has secret feelings for Domina Kappa but irony tends to play around with him as Domina secretly likes him too. The two are unaware of this and have not yet started dating each other. They still end up being very, very friendly with each other though.

Sadly, Marvin has no known blood-related family members.

He was raised in an orphanage on Xarden ever since he was a toddler, being anonymously left there via basket on the orphanage’s front porch. He was almost adopted once but the adoptive parents died in a car crash the day they were supposed to pick him up. Marvin was only able to leave that orphanage when he reached legal age.

Immediately after leaving the orphanage, Marvin applied for Xhevix Academy. It was here where he first met his first true friend, Benny Boggler.

Though he is younger than him by about 11 years, Benny is a child prodigy and was allowed to skip numerous grade levels. Marvin, never really having had the chance to have an ordinary childhood with any friends or siblings, was able to identify with Benny more so than any of the other students who were his age. They quickly became the best of friends.

Marvin isn’t really that intellectual so Benny, being the brainiac that he is, tutored him. Instead, Marvin is more of a fitness addict. He spent most of his spare time in the school’s gymnasium and track field, joining several sports teams and participating more often than was required for his four martial arts training groups. To his disappointment, Benny was not allowed to join him as the boy genius was below the age limit of 13 years old for extreme physical activities as such. Benny, on the other hand, didn’t mind the separation at all as he thought it would be healthy for Marvin, fearing the big guy was getting too attached to him.

Fast forward a couple of years, Joey Sandders first comes to Xhevix Academy.

Joey was hanging around Benny so as to get a gist of the school’s layout, culture, and schedule. Benny eventually let Joey in to his circle of friends, giving Marvin and Joey a chance to get to know each other. The two immediately became great friends.

Several years later, when Joey was taken from the school to work for Xhevix under Class A, he was allowed to recruit Xhevix Academy graduates for his new gang, Marvin being his final choice. Together, the four of them, including Lux Sandders and Benny, formed a group known as the “Serewani Gang”, named after Joey’s dangerous and overly powerful alter ego, Justin Serewani.

The gang had gone on many adventures all over the world, accomplishing missions assigned to them by Julian Ytroxa, Xhevix’s chief at the time. One of these missions was a takedown mission for an “Alliance” member named Miz Frizza.

Deep in the swampy regions just outside of Arkh Bastengard, Joey and the gang, including new member Nina Hoodlum, were accomplishing their own individually assigned parts in order to successfully capture the self-proclaimed voodoo princess. Marvin’s task involved finding any vehicles that Miz might use to try and escape and decommission them. He easily finished his mission without any hindrances and went to check on how his long-time best friend was doing. To his horror, when he reached where Benny was supposed to be accomplishing his mission, the youngest member of the gang was sprawled all over the floor with a hulking figure looming over him, ready to deal the final strike whenever he was ready. Marvin easily took care of this guy out of rage.

Benny was sent to the nearest hospital afterward, leaving Marvin to wallow in sorrow for his little buddy. Though the gang tried cheering him up, it was a rough five months for him seeing Benny just lie on a hospital bed and learning that he wouldn’t be able to walk anymore.

As tragic as this has been for Marvin, there were a few good things that came out of that specific mission. One thing, the mission was a success and the gang sent Miz and all her bodyguards to jail. Another thing, the gang was able to rescue somebody that Miz was keeping as prisoner by means of a spell put on her. Her name was Domina Kappa.

Marvin at first only thought of her to be another good friend who would join their gang. After a while though, seeing her in action on the battlefield and conversing with her quite comfortably, he started growing closer to her and started harbouring feelings for her. Unfortunately for the big brute, he was as shy as a mouse and could not bring himself to tell her that he liked her. As irony would have it, she too was starting to have feelings for Marvin and was about as shy as he was. Though this is so, they have tried several ways to try and tell the other about how they felt for them in friendly ways such as Marvin walking with Domina along the coastline when she wanted to and Domina cooking Marvin’s favourite food whenever he asked for it. The rest of the gang are somehow oblivious to this.

Being that Marvin uses his fists to fight, Benny invented him gloves that burst fire with every punch.

Marvin and the gang now all live in a mansion on one of Xarden’s beautiful beaches.

Experimenting with this pristine ability, Valeria began folding different objects and controlled them like the real thing. Wearing special gloves, the time it took for her to fold the paper was so fast that she would be done with the blink of an eye. Valeria soon discovered that she could control paper even if they weren’t folded according to how she wanted to utilize them. He decided to see what the boy would throw at him, only to realize that it was a mistake to underestimate the boy. He was quickly disposed of with the boy’s quick footwork and rapid array of attacks. Upon graduation, Bien began building up himself even further, turning to a life of crime before Kingstere came up to him and offered him another chance to fight with Joe. Quickly accepting, Bien awaits the moment that he can show Joe his true strength. At present, he acts as Kingstere’s bodyguard. The Quias family was one of the ninja clans in who grew up in America. Lucas decided to focus on perfecting his Art of the Doppelganger and Substitution. Leaving his family at the age of 19, Lucas traveled far and wide to find a formidable adversary who could keep up with his Tai-Jutsu (Art of the Trained Body). When he came across a martial arts tournament in Russia, he participated and took out practically every opponent that came his way. During the finals, Lucas met with a boy named Joe Ashter. Born with a gene to produce chains from his body at his own bidding, Aveck feels that this special ability is a calling for him to test his skills against someone worthy to battle. He joined Dyixjo after Kingstere promised to introduce him to that someone whom he could face in battle. During his stay in Cambodia, he came across Joe Ashter, the boy Kingstere had told him about. He challenged Joe to a battle, who quickly accepted. Aveck had an early advantage and bound Joe to the ground with his chains, making use of his specially created attacks to wear the boy down. Soon, Joe’s alter ego Kyuzo came out and broke off the chains with his Twin Legan Blades and did quick work with Aveck before disappearing. Not able to believe what had just happened, Aveck returned to DKX and worked alongside Drek Fervern and Robert Zaimler, who helped him improve the chains in his body. When he was 21, he discovered his ability to create illusions as he played his flute. He worked on this, testing it out with his friends, who all claimed that whatever he told them before he played ‘came true’. Inspired, 6 years passed when he later on became a scientist in Acoustics, the study of sound. He amplified his flute so that whenever he played it, it would strengthen the effect of the illusion on whoever heard his playing. He called it the Kenai Flute. When he had amped it up, he went to Austria, where he tested his new flute out. It was there that he met with Carla Pietro, a gifted percussionist and Joe Ashter, her student. When Joe had challenged him, he quickly accepted. He had created an illusion for the boy as he played his flute, but he was interrupted by Carla’s playing, which distorted the sound wave and broke off the illusion. Joe finished him off afterwards. After that defeat, Kingstere had congregated him in his hometown in Germany where he was recovering, offering him another chance to take on Joe and Carla. He accepted and upon recovering and moving with Kingstere to the U.S, he doubled the effect of his flute for the next time he was to face them.

When he met with Kingstere, the man offered him a membership under his wing. Mervin accepted the offer and quickly managed to impress his superior with his amazing sense of battle during a training session with Kingstere. The first time Mervin had encountered Joe Ashter was during his leisure trip to his hometown in England, ironically where Joe was originally from. They met each other during a sword competition named “Masters of the Blade”, where he met Joe in the finals. Having lost to Joe, he’s sought for a rematch to prove that the boy’s win was a fluke and that he was supposed to be the real winner (although we all know that he’s an idiot and he’s just trying to think a bit more highly of himself to lessen the embarrassment). He continued to another sword competition in Spain, where he met Joe’s teammate Miles in the finals. Mervin lost to Miles quite sardonically, practically the same way he lost to Joe.

Not believing that this was happening, he slammed his hands together before he changed back. Awed by this newfound ability, he felt like Colossus from X-Men©. He began to go to the gym and work out to build up his muscles and before long, he could lift the 300lb weights without any difficulty. He left his hometown and went out to find a worthy opponent. When he came to England, he joined a fighting competition to see how much his skills have improved. While watching the other participants, he noticed a boy younger than him take on a muscular man and won. He met the boy in the finals and was introduced as Joe Ashter. They fought for around 20 minutes before Joe finally finished him off. After the tournament, Kingstere approached him and offered him a membership under his wing after explaining his reasons for wanting him to join. Kuzen generally never fights his battles alone. He, along with the twins, join Kingstere under his leadership. During their frequent travels, Kuzen finds interest in Joe Ashter during their first indirect encounter in Italy. Having lost 3 races against the boy, Drek has long since tried to find the boy’s weakness both for the club and for his own personal reasons. When they joined DKX, Drek has assisted fellow teammates such as Robert Zaimler, Aveck Marazi and Bien Dientia with his ability and intelligence. Drek is the Electronics Head of DKX, creating the entire laboratory that the group uses for their upgrades, surveillance and other business.

She shares the feelings of Sylvia over their loss against Joe Ashter and hopes to beat him in a rematch. When they joined DKX, Naomi has been the group’s radar, informing them if Xhevix is coming. Carter doesn’t mind doing this, as he is amazed with the efforts of Ryu and the rest have put into becoming excellent street racers they are today. His grudge against Joe Ashter was simply through the entire club’s hatred towards the boy when he had defeated them 3 times during a street race. Upon joining DKX, both Carter and Drek team up and find a way to extract Joe’s weakness to finally defeat him once and for all. When Ryu had joined the club with DKX, Carter’s been assigned as the group’s spy, as he can camouflage himself literally to help gather information on Xhevix, more specifically on CCV and Joe.

The duo quickly become the club’s best uphill racers on any course they raced on, until they met Joe Ashter, who beat them. She swears to beat Joe the next time they have a rematch. Upon joining DKX, Sylvia has become the group’s healer, especially in battle, where one flick of her wand heals her ally a hundred percent.

Leigh usually spends his time around Frouz, but he created his own reputation by being the fastest racer downhill next to his partner Frouz. He thought of facing Joe Ashter to a street race, but Frouz stopped him after their race, saying that he was too good to challenge. Having known this, Leigh decides to secretly do some night driving practice, waiting for the day when he knows he can beat Joe at his home course in England. His ability has also helped him in battle, permitting him to sense an attack before his opponent strikes him.

History/Background

Benny Boggler is one of Joey Sandders’ two best friends as well as one of the four founders of the Serewani Gang. He may be the youngest member of the gang but he’s one of its two smartest members along with his girlfriend, Nina Hoodlum.

He is an only child to a single parent, Dr. Baron Boggler PhD, who works under Xhevix as one of its lead scientists. His mother died giving birth to him.

Dr. Baron, being one of the scientists who were studying Joey back when Xhevix first learnt of Justin, was the one who suggested to the boy to go and make friends with his son, Benny, so that when Joey went to Xhevix Academy, he would already have a friendly guide who would show him around the campus. The two students ended up being the closest of friends along with Marvin, who at the time was already Benny’s best friend.

Before Joey came into his life, Benny had skipped several grade levels for his exceptional knowledge and supreme academic achievements, a trait he earned from his father. Though being five years younger than Joey, he was in a higher grade level compared to the soon-to-be gang leader who was only at his own grade level because that was his age group (Benny was already three years away from graduating by the time Joey joined XA). Because of this, Benny was able to graduate alongside Marvin, whom of which is 11 years older than him.

By the time that Joey was 16 years old, he was taken from the school by Xhevix to be immediately put under “Class A”, something Benny was fully aware of by the time thanks to being informed about it by his dad. He was Joey’s second choice when it came to choosing the new gang members, being chosen after Lux.

The gang participated in many a mission after forming, getting a chance to traverse the different lands all around the world.

One of these missions involved the gang in trying to prevent a demolitionist group known as “Demolition Unit” from destroying several national monuments in Grand Ginarva, one of the main cities. It was here where Benny first met up with Nina Hoodlum, a young double agent working for Xhevix who is only a year older than him. She was assigned to help them out in trying to intercept DU’s assault on the innocent civilians of the city while collecting some reconnaissance under the terrorist group. Overall, the mission was a success but the demolitionists were able to escape, figuring out that it was Nina who “betrayed” them, and left her behind. Having finished her mission and having no group, it was Benny who invited her to join the gang. Nina immediately agreed and became the gang’s fifth member.

After joining the gang, Benny and Nina started hanging out quit a lot, partly due to the fact that they were both almost the same age, but mostly due to both of them being child prodigies. Nina actually graduated from Xhevix Academy a year after Benny and has been working as an undercover agent for the organization for the whole duration that she spent after leaving XA, easily finding ways to manipulate Demolition Unit into making her join the group even though she is apparently too young to do so. Eventually, Benny and Nina started going out with each other.

Fast forward four months, Joey and the gang are assigned a new mission in the outskirts of Arkh Bastengard, somewhere deep in its swampy regions where Miz Frizza was stationing herself at the time.

It was after this mission that Benny would never be able to walk on his own again.

The five members of the Serewani Gang scattered themselves across the swampy base accomplishing different parts of their take-down mission. Benny’s part involved trying to retrieve some reconnaissance from the head of the base’s security. Unfortunately, things didn’t go as planned and Benny was found out. Benny had to go against the villain but ultimately lost, being shot in the bottom tip of his spinal column with a powerful, unfixable attack, paralyzing him from the waist down. Fortunately, Marvin was able to arrive in time to defeat the body guard before he had a chance to kill Benny.

Benny wasn’t able to finish the mission with the rest of the gang and was sent to the closest hospital and was forced to stay there for a month, being transferred to Xhevix HQ’s medical facility and staying there for four more months. Dr. Baron was heartbroken after receiving the news and often tried unprofessional things to try and find ways on how to get his son better faster, almost costing him his entire career. Though it was difficult, the two Bogglers got through it all and Benny was finally free to leave the hospital, though being confined to a wheelchair for the rest of his life.

Though this unfortunate event took place, the gang was still able to finish the mission and sent Miz and her bodyguards to jail. They had also acquired a new member who was being held prisoner by means of a spell put on her at the swamp named Domina Kappa. Sadly, Miz was still able to get away by means of a cleverly operated jail break along with several other convicts.

Benny, overtime, has learnt to adapt to his paraplegia and accepted the fact that he won’t be able to fend off against any of his enemies in the future or do much of the activities he used to do with the gang, such as spar training or swimming. He now mostly confines himself to handyman activities such as creating useful gadgets for his team members and repairing their weapons when broken or otherwise. He has also started studying again, trying to learn more advanced technical skills that he never knew he could do on his own such as encryption algorithm and hacking into the mainframes of other computers.

Benny and the gang now all live in a mansion on one of Xarden’s beautiful beaches.

Originally named Miles Aeirs Barrett Heim, Kuzen’s older brother. He and Kuzen had different perspectives towards life, causing the former to become the black sheep of the family. He decided to drop his family name and find a way to make his younger brother see life in the same light as he does. Miles came to Xhevix upon the recruitment of Julian Ytroxa. A highly skilled swordsman, Miles was asked to help train a young boy prodigy named Joe Ashter alongside Logan Kreichton. He was responsible for teaching the boy mostly about his mannerisms and was usually Joe’s sparring partner when it came to using swords. He quickly picked up that Joe had a lot of talent with the blades he uses, making it challenging every time they would spar. Miles learned soon enough that he needed to make himself stronger to keep up with Joe’s rapid increase of power. Eventually, both he and Joe resorted to using a few minor special attacks, sparking an interesting battle amongst the two every time they would resort to that. Landing a job as a trainer for Xhevix, Logan’s proved himself time and time again that he is NOT a man to mess with. Originally unsure where he was from, Logan’s sharp instincts has given him a reputation on the battlefield of being probably one of the best fighters in his generation. He quickly became friends with Miles, who later on teamed up with him to train a promising boy named Joe Ashter. Logan, in his own manner, trained the boy rather harshly, usually putting the boy in different punishments to make up for little mistakes to make him stronger. His ‘favorite’ punishment was the whipping, as he noted that Joe had disciplined himself much more after this certain punishment was implemented on him. Logan’s unbreakable weapon, the Dranshinta, is his ideal weapon, as it can transform into different weapons, given that the owner knows how to do so. Logan soon joined Joe’s group to hopefully find some action outside the agency. He still continues to offer his help as a trainer to the other members of the agency alongside the likes of Bob Sonic.

Creo lived in the nobility before his soul was pulled into the Orb of Kifrehion. At first, Creo had a difficult time with his teacher, but after a few months, he improved immensely that he thought of using two swords, which he mastered quite easily. When the man died himself, everything he took was returned to the souls of their rightful owners. Soon after this, the Orb of Kifrehion was taken by a Lindwurm and brought to an island by the beast itself. Joe’s alter ego, Kyuzo is the reincarnation of a legendary samurai. His skills have been passed on to Joe when he was assigned to live within the boy by the heavenly beings watching over everything. Slightly protective of the boy, Kyuzo makes it a point to persuade Joe to leaving the ‘difficult’ battles to him to avoid too much insult to injury for the boy [in other words, he doesn’t want to be responsible for getting Joe into some serious injury since he has the chance to switch with Joe anytime he sees fit. History/Background

Part of the original Council who formed Dyixjo, Kingstere holds a personal grudge against his nephew Joe Ashter for the boy’s numerous victories against him in the past. This grudge began when the boy was 16. He found out that Joe and his alter ego were actually Dragon Samurai when they had called upon the spirit Kaizer (Fire Dragon) to aid them in battle. To this day, Kingstere seeks after his nephew in hopes of him joining his side to rule the world. This idea of wanting to rule the world was inspired by his father, who is also trying to rule the world, but sucks at carrying out his ideals.* Formerly best friends with Xhevix chief Julian Ytroxa, both of them had put on glove restraints over their emblems to remind them of their friendship. But when Ytroxa had caught amnesia, he’s reintroduced himself as Chester, an informant for Ytroxa on Dyixjo’s plans, creating chances for his team to eliminate Xhevix.

*Note: This is the reason why Kingstere became the leader of Destroyer King X instead of Harsdel. You can say that the gene of ‘leadership’ skipped a generation. ;)

History/Background

Joey Sandders is the Serewani Gang’s leader and founder along with his sister and two best friends, Lux Sandders, Benny Boggler, and Marvin. The gang is eponymously named after Joey’s alter ego, Justin Serewani, the spirit of a criminal from the distant past who likes to terrorize those around him in mischievous and often diabolic ways.

Joey’s family includes Vandaloo (father), Juliana (mother), Lux (sister), and Warren (brother). His mother, Juliana, had developed liver cancer when he was only four years old. When his father learned about this, Vandaloo was crushed and didn’t know what to do. Two of Joey’s criminally involved descendants from the future, Dr. Jimmy PhD and Johnny Sandders, struck a deal with Vandaloo where they offered to take care of Juliana and provide profits to finding a cure as long as Vandaloo signed a legally binding contract to work for them. Unfortunately, a year after he signed that contract, Juliana died. Vandaloo originally thought that he didn’t owe “The Alliance” anything thereafter but he soon learned that the two brothers tricked him as the contract clearly stated that he was forced to work for them for the rest of his life. After that day, Vandaloo and his children were enemies by contract.

Warren getting angered at the current events ran away from home and formed his own group to go against his dad. All that was left were Joey and Lux to take care of each other.

Both children, being underage and having no guardians to look over them, were sent off to an orphanage known as the “Grand Qemi Ku Youth Treatment Center”. It was his first year here where Joey had first learned of Justin.

At first, Justin didn’t do much but make Joey look like an irresponsible child. Fortunately, the caretakers started figuring out that something was just not right and it wasn’t Joey causing all the trouble. This reached its peak when Joey was 10 years old when a soon-to-be-enemy of his first comes to the same orphanage, named Zackerie Bacardi, and starts messing around with Joey along with the rest of his “rebels”. One day, Joey, who is almost unconscious from the constant abuse and beating during what would be his and Zackerie’s last encounter in a long while, finally loses control of everything and Justin finally breaks free, nearly destroying the whole orphanage in his wake. Justin is eventually kept at bay, Zackerie vouches for revenge, and Joey obtains his different coloured irises.

The orphanage’s doctors and several other medical experts began studying Joey and his condition immediately afterward, coming to the conclusion that they had to cover the new eye up to keep Justin at bay with a special eye patch. After a year of studying him, they thought that it would be best to send him to the experts working under Xhevix. His sister, being of legal age in the city to leave the orphanage at the time, goes with Joey to Xarden as familial support.

Once the Xhevix medical experts and scientists got a hold of him, they came to the conclusion that Justin is Joey’s alter ego and that keeping him under the expert eyes of “Class A” would be the best way to take care of him. They encouraged Joey to start going to Xhevix Academy so that he could learn how to defend himself as well as some other curricular stuff he wasn’t able to properly learn, being taught in an orphanage and all. He did as was suggested and his sister tagged along with him so they could still stick together.

It was in this school where Joey first met Benny and Marvin, who at the time were already friends with each other, as well as Ana Tavoularis, who would eventually become his girlfriend.

He was able to stay in that school until he was 16. This was so because Xhevix finally made official his joining into “Class A”. He was allowed to bring graduated students along with him to form his own group. This included Lux, Benny (graduated with Marvin), and Marvin, calling themselves the “Serewani Gang”. Unfortunately, it would still take Ana some more time to graduate so she wasn’t allowed to join yet.

Joey has fought alongside Joe Ashter and Andrew Plasma along with their respective gangs from that day forward, soon accumulating the rest of the members of the Serewani Gang, namely Domina Kappa (Marvin’s "crush"), Nina Hoodlum (Benny’s girlfriend), and Shadow Hawkins. Ana joined right after she graduated. Lux also eventually got her own alter ego, Dez Kuzak. Joey can almost control Justin at this point as well, not needing the eye patch anymore.

Joey and his gang now all live in a mansion on one of Xarden’s beautiful beaches.

History/Background

Joe Ashter is the leader of the Crash Core V group under Xhevix, a group he had formed with his older brother Patrick Ashter and childhood friends Mike Adhams, Gomez Drendaw and eventual girlfriend Alyssa Fant.

Joe’s only direct family is his older brother Patrick, having lost both of his parents when he was just a year old. A direct descendant of royalty, Joe is the second of the three great, great, great, great grandsons of Ryuji Legan Ashter, the Dragon King who inhabited Ryleter Island, located off-coast present day Grand Huwher. This fact enabled Joe to attain the status of a Dragon Samurai, to which the spirit of the Legendary Fire Dragon’s spirit chose him on the credentials of being of loyal spirit and having suffered a terrible loss in their life.

Apart from being a Dragon Samurai, he also has an alter ego; a soul by the name of Kyuzo Yumezo, a legendary samurai warrior who had inspired Joe to use two swords instead of one in battle and master the technique in just a few months. Like his grandfather Carlvon, Joe has two other dragons inside of him that speed up his healing processes and are quite useful in troublesome situations. With these four living harmoniously inside of Joe, he’s learned to befriend and harness their skills at will.

Despite losing their parents, he and his brother managed to get by, able to live off the inherited wealth and guidance of their guardians, Kurt and Claudia Ashter, their deceased parents’ respective siblings. They were able to attend school and attained a number of friends, living a practically normal life.

Growing up in Huwher where most every way left and right involved games, bets and tournaments, Joe discovered his hidden talent in driving when he was 10 years old. Practicing through the mountain courses with his Speedster 4 car, he began participating in races both grand prix and private on the mountain courses he frequented, creating many rivals like that of the Mintrige Club members of Destroyer King X and the members of Ghriandren in the span of one year.

Not long after, he and his brother were invited to attend Xhevix Academy, a prestigious school in Xarden, on the recommendation of Xhevix’s chief Julian Ytroxa. Both Joe and Patrick agreed to go, and excelled prominently in their respective classes. He would later on learn that a number of his and Patrick’s friends would be invited as well, and become eventual members of his team.

By age 13, Joe was called on once again by Julian Ytroxa, who designated his entry into “Class A”, where he was trained by future comrades Logan Kreichton and Miles. After a few years, he became a proper leader of both his own group – Crash Core V – and of “Class A”, fighting alongside Andrew Plasma and Joey Sandders and their respective groups.

Eventually, he had been deemed worthy of becoming Xhevix’s current chief, overseeing the group’s progress as well as the Xhevix Academy’s training of future members.

Joe and his group now all live in a mountain villa in Xarden, a 20-minute drive from the main city.
