History/Background
Born in Switzerland, Ryu always had his mind set on the road. He began driving at the age of 14, since his parents were dead. He loved the sound of the engine as he turned a corner and began taking his driving skills to a new level by doing drifts along the corners. After participating in several battles, he was popular among the street racers everywhere he went to race. After a few years, he founded the Mintrige Club, whose purpose was to street race on different mountain passes around the world. When he faced Joe Ashter in a race in Joe’s hometown in England, he lost in his Cappuchino, setting him to seek revenge against Joe and hope for a rematch with the boy. Ever since his loss, he’s been driving tirelessly to perfect his skills both behind the wheel and in battle to find a way to defeat Joe one way or the other. It was for this reason that Ryu had signed the entire Mintrige Club under Kingstere’s leadership. His special ability of copying other’s attacks piqued Kingstere’s interest, rendering Ryu to be frequently sent off by Kingstere to face Joe.
